MiniDisplay Port to VGA
MiniDisplayPort to DVI
Monoprice Cables
Mini DisplayPort to DVI cable (6 ft)
Mini DisplayPort to VGA cable (6 ft)
Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable (10ft)
Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable (6ft)
Adapters are great for when you need to connect to an existing cable like on a projector or monitor at a temporary location. For use one your desk at home I recommend getting the cable wit the right connectors on each end as that is fat better than having the large adapter end hanging two inches off your Mac.
Be sure to see my three different videos to find the right option for you.

Monoprice cables
For whatever reason, the video on the mono price cables has the least amount of views but these are. The best option for people that want to connect theirMac at home.

Hello Tech128,
It was mentioned at 1:13 that there would be another video on how to get the HDMI port to work on a Mac. Where can I find said video?
Does it work with the macbook air? Please respond
can you stream video on large monitor (connected to macbook) whilst browsing on macbook screen
I have macbook Pro 2018 15 inch.
I have a samsung monitor like your monitor.I will connect properly. But the monitor doesn't show anything.
Great video, although I do have a question.
I have a Late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro (13 inch) and I also have those two thunderbolt ports on the side. The only thing that’s throwing me off is the Mini DisplayPort cable; to me, the cable looks a lot bigger than the thunderbolt port, but it fit in just fine on there. Is it just my eyes playing tricks on me?
No VGA selection option on the older monitors.
They both have VGA and HDMI.
the monitors can play DVD's Player in the monitor /TV itself .they both have cable selections,PC games ,
I was starting the VGA was just a out put!
I've used the adapter years ago with FCP 5.
On a basic Monitor No VGA selection option on the older monitors.

Is there a way I can connect two screens through VGA on my MacBook Air early 2014 when my 2 USB connectors do not work? Only my mini-display connector works. Thanks
